making the court ready in the kitchen and serve it to the waiter. 3D food
printing will only have an impact on the way of preparing food, especially on the
time management. It depends, in which way 3D printing is getting implemented and
on what scale what things eventually will make some differences in the process.
If it’s getting implemented on a small scale it won’t have a lot of consequences.
If it’s getting implemented on a large scale, there it will have some
consequences. 3D printing of food doesn’t need human effort. This will have a
consequence. Besides, purchasing and supply chain management will change. In
order to prepare food in restaurants in the normal way, a lot of food needs to be
purchased in advance. Because the process with 3D printer is much more
efficient, restaurants don’t need that much resources anymore.

the performance of the food making process. The amount of waste will reduce,
when preparing food with a 3D printer because this process is much more
efficient. There won’t be any waste when you produce food with a 3D printer. Besides
this, the performance of the food making process will increase. In the normal
way of producing, it is simply all done by humans. Therefore, the performance can’t
be 100%. Not every court will taste the same way. Working with a 3D printer will
increase the performance. Because his technology every court can be made at the
exact same way and quality.

about organization, it’s also important to know on what scale 3D printing will
be implemented in a restaurant. 3D printing on a small scale won’t have a lot
of consequences at the organization. 3D printing on a larger scale, will have some
consequences. Tasks will change. The responsibilities of people in the kitchen
of a restaurant will change. Because 3D printing will take less effort of
humans than the regular way of cooking, restaurants won’t need that much
employees anymore. But still there will be kind of an hierarchy, because the
food always need to get checked. Because of that, the culture in a restaurant
won’t change.
